TSG Hoffenheim vs SC Paderborn 07 Preview

Hoffenheim host bottom-of-the-table Paderborn looking to move up to 5th in the Bundesliga table before other teams play their games.

Hoffenheim suffered from overachieving and qualifying for the Champions League last season and they didn’t end the season well.

They have no European commitments this season but had to deal with the loss of their former manager who jumped ship to RB Leipzig.

That being said, they haven’t done badly so far and are currently 10th in the league table ahead of this game.

They can go 5th and level on points with Wolfsburg who are 4th temporarily if they win this game.

Hoffenheim are currently a team in-form after winning their last four games in all competitions.  This winning run was sparked by a shocking 1-2 win at Bayern Munich earlier in October and they would win all of their games this month with another victory here.

Paderborn haven’t enjoyed their return to the German topflight and they could be set to go back to the second division by the end of the season if their fortunes don’t change soon.

They visit Hoffenheim as the bottom side in the league table having collected just 4 points all season.

They did win their last league game against Fortuna Dusseldorf before going on to lose 1-0 to Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup on Tuesday.
