Manchester City will get the chance to avenge their shock home loss to Manchester United when they face the Red Devils in this Carabao Cup semifinal.

The Cityzens have won this competition for the past two seasons and they will be looking to win it yet again this season.

Manchester United are steadily rebuilding their team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and they would feel that they need a trophy to show that some progress is being made.

Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal last time out and that loss showed that they really have no plan B and when their runners are stopped they almost come to a halt.

Manchester City doesn’t have the best defence but they can stop the supply of balls to the wing for the Manchester United wingers.

Fans expect the visitors to come here with revenge on their mind after that loss earlier in the season and a derby day delight for either of these sides would be a major boost to their fan base.

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 13 home games.  Manchester City have lost two of their last ten away games in all competitions (those losses came against Wolves and Liverpool) otherwise, they are good travellers who have won three of their last four visits to Old Trafford.
