Napoli struggled in the first half of the season which led to Carlo Ancelotti being fired from his job.
They have made former San Siro favourite, Gennaro Gattuso their new boss and he would be keen to start the year with a win.
Inter are looking to wrestle the Scudetto away from Juventus and they are providing the first real challenge for Juve in a long time.
Antonio Conte’s men are currently top of the league table but only on goal difference.
They know that Juventus won’t give up the title that easily so they have to win games like this.
Napoli is currently 8th in the league table and they are more than ten points off the top four.
The Naples side know that they cannot falter like they did in the first half of the season or they would be realistically out of the race for European football next season.
Whenever these teams meet, it is always a tense atmosphere and both have won their last home game against the other.
Napoli has won three and lost one of the last five times they have hosted Inter Milan.
