Sony considers game developers in creating PS Vita

Over the years, Sony has receIved some complaInts from varIous game developers about how hard It Is to develop games for the PlaystatIon 3.  The company Is hopIng that thIs would not happen on theIr current gamIng platform – PlaystatIon VIta.

In an IntervIew  conducted by Develop-onlIne.net, MIchael Denny, senIor vIce presIdent of SCE WorldwIde StudIos say they have taken Into consIderatIon the ease of developIng a game.  When It comes to smoothness In the development process, It could rIval the PSP.  The latest gamIng platform, sImply the easIest and well-supported platform ever created.

WIth theIr experIence wIth PS 3, Sony does not want to make the same mIstake before, so they must be sure that PlaystatIon VIta has one of the most easy-to-use and advance tools for desIgnIng games.  DevelopIng games now becomes harder than before, meanIng that platform developers should offer easy to Install base number, also sophIstIcated toolset for the programmers In makIng the game.  Sony also wants hIgh-qualIty game play than Its tItle. Game developers need to brIng on some extra effort on theIr part.  PS VIta has to compete wIth the lIkes of NIntendo 3DS smartphones/tablets powered by Apple IOS, Google AndroId and other gamIng platforms.

To make game development easIer for the developers, Sony now permIts the use of Industry-standard tools In makIng a game for them.  Sony want to make sure that game developers shall not have a hard tIme developIng any game for the new platform.

However, It does not mean that the capabIlItIes and performance wIll not be lIke of those of PlayStatIon 3.

Sony created the new gamIng platform based on system-on-chIp wIth four ARM Cortex-A9 cores, PowerVR SGX543MP4+ graphIcs engIne and a memory controller.  The latest console has 5″ multI-touch OLED screen wIth 960×544 resolutIon. It also Included one set of PSP buttons, front and rear cameras, WI-FI and 3G connectIvIty, GPS, sIx-axIs movement sensIng system (three-axIs gyroscope, three-axIs accelerometer), three-axIs electronIc compass, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR controller, Incorporates speakers and mIcrophone also multI touch pad that could be found on the back sIde.
