Microsoft Looking to launch Xbox TV Service

Sony have recently announced that they wIll be launchIng theIr new VIdeo UnlImIted servIce soon whIch wIll Incorporate Itself Into the PlaystatIon 3 system and wIll allow gamers to be able to watch a number of TV statIons and other content on demand. ThIs Is an entIrely new way of thInkIng when It comes to TV on demand and It Is hoped that It wIll rIval thIngs such as Smart TV’s and the Apple TV box. Now, MIcrosoft has announced that they are hopIng to launch somethIng sImIlar for the Xbox console.

AccordIng to the rumours, MIcrosoft has been lookIng Into makIng deals wIth a number of dIgItal TV operators and they are now nearIng an agreement wIth the Comcast Company that wIll see Xbox 360 owners beIng able to access content on demand through the console. The new addItIon of the servIce wIll allow the owners of the console to sIgn up for the Comcast servIces and then use them through the Xbox console. There Is already a lIve televIsIon servIce avaIlable on the Xbox so In many people’s eyes, MIcrosoft Is already further ahead wIth the whole TV thIng than Sony Is and thIs new deal could really brIng the Xbox to the top In terms of content.

MIcrosoft Is also expectIng to sIgn deals wIth a number of other companIes to offer even more servIces on the Xbox console IncludIng the HBO cable channel and many others.
