Sony implements one account per PS Vita

After numerous speculatIons that PS VIta wIll be tIed to one PSN account, Sony confIrms It now. WhIle others belIeve the PSN account wIll be tIed to a Sony custom-made memory card, the company just proved them wrong. A PSN account wIll be tIed to both PS VIta and the memory card.

“PSN account Is tIed to the hardware and the memory card, not just the card,” a Sony representatIve saId, “whIch means that If a second person Is usIng your VIta, It’s not just a case of swItchIng out memory cards, It’s clearIng out all of your saved data on the VIta Itself when you do the factory reset.”

ThIs supports the theory that PS VIta Is Intended to be played by only one gamer. Sony Computer EntertaInment AmerIca saId In a statement that lIke PSP, “PS VIta Is Intended to be played by only one user as a personal portable entertaInment system.”

Moreover, the hardware and the spec are set to allow only one PSN account to be connected.

PS VIta wIll be released In Japan on December 17th, 2011 but wIll be launched In AmerIca, Europe, AustralIa and LatIn AmerIca on February 22nd, 2012.
