Iraq U20 vs Egypt U20 Match Preview: FIFA U20 World Cup

Egypt under 20’s meet Iraq under 20’s this Wednesday evening at the Akdeniz Universitesi Stadium in a game both sides cannot afford to lose. Group E is still very close after Iraq managed to snatch a 2:2 draw against England U20 in their last game while Chile top the group after narrowly defeating Egypt 2:1.

If Egypt lose, their tournament is effectively over but if Iraq win, they will take a giant step towards progressing to the Quarter finals of the FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

England meet Chile in a tricky tie prior to this game and the result of that game could make this one much more interesting.

Group E currently looks like this (prior to England vs Chile):

These two sides have never met at under 20 level so there is no history to go on.

Bookmakers make Egypt slight favourites going into the game.

Current betting odds: Iraq u20 (11/5) Draw (12/5) Egypt (6/5)

Gamingtips Prediction – Iraq u20 1:3 Egypt u20

Although Egypt disappointed in game one, they did manage to defeat Austria and Panama prior to this tournament and manage a 1:1 draw against a good Brazil u20 side – they appear to be reasonable value against an Iraq side who looked poor against England until they scored a goal.

Iraq have no winning form prior to July 2012 after losing to Morocco and Tunisia.

6/5 is a reasonable price for Egypt while Over 3.5 goals looks a reasonable betting proposition at odds of 7/4

This match gets underway at 19:00 GMT+0 and can be viewed live on British Eurosport.
