The full field and betting odds are below (click to enlarge, odds provided by & are subject to change/differ bookmaker to bookmaker).

Field & Betting Odds

Phil Mickelson (20/1) won the Scottish Open just a few days ago, Adam Scott (22/1) won the 2013 Masters, Justin Rose won the US Open at Merion (20/1) while world number 2, Rory Mcilroy (25/1) may decide to show up and play some golf.

Gamingtips Tips: Jason Day (33/1) has played exceptionally well this year and has been knocking on the door of a major win.

Henrik Stenson (45/1) looked like winning the Scottish Open until crumbling late on.  Excellent Iron player.

Brandt Snedeker (35/1) may offer the most value to punters as an each-way bet with his carefree style of playing golf.

From a betting perspective, it’s usually better to wait until the tournament is in-play and players are posting scores because it’s very easy for a player to shoot 80 on day 1 and your chances and theirs are banished.

Ultimately betting during the tournament may offer slightly lesser odds, but you can be sure to be in with a chance come the weekend and your player(s) won’t be 1000/1 after day 1.

Most bookmakers are offering 6 or 7 places each-way at 1/4 odds meaning if your player finishes in the first 6 or 7 you will get your stake multiplied by 1/4 of the players odds.

Weather conditions should be consistently good however morning players may get the best of it on the opening two days.
