Dinamo Zagreb travel to the Aker Stadion this Tuesday evening to take on Molde in the second leg of their Champions League third round qualifying match.

Dinamo Zagreb were heavy favourites to come out on top in the first leg (1/2) and surprisingly Molde were able to hold them to a 1:1 draw.

Two goals in a few minutes divided the two teams at half time – Zagreb had a man sent off 20 minutes into the second half however Molde deserved a draw.

Dinamo Zagreb won a derby match over the weekend 2:0 over their rivals NK Zagreb and they will be looking to score at least one away goal when they travel to Norway on Tuesday if they are to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League.

Molde had no domestic game inbetween this tie and they will be looking for a solid defensive performance – they have the benefit of an away goal, a 0:0 is good enough for them to progress however if Dinamo Zagreb can score twice, Molde will need to score 3 goals.

After the first leg, bookmakers are a little unsure as to how this match will play out – Molde are currently available at odds of 7/4, while Dinamo Zagreb are slight favourites at odds of 31/20.  The draw is currently trading at odds of 9/4.

Ultimately Dinamo Zagreb are a stronger team on paper – they have to overcome being away from home however their odds are too big to ignore – they were trading at odds of 1/2 to win the first leg and because of a shaky first leg performance, their odds are massively inflated.  It’s difficult to say if Dinamo Zagreb would’ve scored again before they had a man sent off in the first leg but it is worth noting they played much of the second period with 10 men.

Molde definitely isn’t an easy place to travel to and although they have an away goal, it may change their approach to the game.  A 1:1 draw will see extra-time and Molde may try to play a defensive style for a 0:0 or 1:1.
