Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid Preview

In the last round, Bayern Munich were involved in a low key affair with Sevilla.

The second leg of that quarterfinal game ended goalless with the Bavarian’s progressing following a 2-1 win at Seville in the first leg.

This game is most likely going to be played at a higher tempo with Real Madrid aggressively looking for their third consecutive title.

Bayern followed their draw with Sevilla with three successive wins over Borussia Monchengladbach, Bayer Leverkusen and Hannover 96, scoring 14 goals in those matches.

While Bayern Munich had an easy ride at the last round, Real Madrid’s campaign almost came to an end.

Los Blancos led Juventus 3-0 heading into the second leg at the Bernabeu, but they found themselves 3-0 down with 30 minutes left to play.

In the end, a controversial penalty awarded by Englishman, Michael Oliver was converted by Christiano Ronaldo to help the Spaniards reach this round.
