Serbia vs Brazil Preview

This remains one of the most contentious groups heading into this final round of group matches.

While Costa Rica have been eliminated after losing their first two games, just one point separates the top three teams in this group and any of the three could top the group.

Serbia started their campaign with a 1-0 win over Costa Rica, however, their next game proved too tough for them.

They faced Switzerland who held Brazil to a draw and they took the lead in the first half.   However, the Swiss rallied around and equalized before Xherdan Shaqiri netted a late winner for Switzerland to blow the group wide open.

Serbia have been impressive in their first two games however beating Brazil is a different ball game, and that’s what they need to do in order to guarantee progression.

Brazil came into this competition as one of the favourites after losing to Germany in the semifinal of the last edition.

Their campaign however, started with a tough 1-1 draw with Switzerland.

Their next game proved to be even tougher as Costa Rica held them until added time before they could open the scoring where they eventually won 2-0 with two 90th minute goals.

The Brazilians have not been at their very best especially with Neymar being very inconsistent.

This is a tricky game for Brazil and they will need to play well to avoid being dumped out of the competition.

Brazil are currently odds-on to come out on top inside 90 minutes and progress to the knockout stages.
