Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview

Chelsea will be looking to build on Sunday after they held Manchester City to a goalless draw until penalties in the Carabao Cup final.

They eventually lost that game on penalties but their performance was much better than when they were thrashed 6-0 by the same Manchester City team a few weeks back.

This game should be another tough one and also potentially the last game for Maurizio Sarri as a manager of the Blues and he will be hoping that his players can help him save his job.

The Blues are currently 6^th in the league table and they can move back inside the top four if they can win this game by 3 goals or more but that could be a little too much to ask against a team like Tottenham.

Tottenham are still very much in the mix to win the Premier League, and as Liverpool continue to falter, the race is looking more like a three horse race.

They lost their last game 2-1 against Burnley and that result was yet another setback, but their fans will look at the fact that Harry Kane has returned to fitness as a major boost to their hopes of winning the league.

Tottenham are currently 6 points behind Liverpool and 5 points behind Manchester City.

They have already beaten Chelsea this season and their fans will be looking to Harry Kane and Son Heung-min to help fire them to another win here.

Bookmakers have priced Tottenham up as favourites to come out on top in this game.  Chelsea will start the game as underdogs however the odds are close and oddsmakers believe they are in with a shot of winning.

Goal markets point to a lively game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Harry Kane is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game followed by Gonzalo Higuain and Eden Hazard.
