Netherlands vs Germany
Competition – Euro 2020 qualifying
Stadium – Amsterdam ArenA
Date: 24th March 2019
Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT
These two European giants are enjoying contrasting forms at the moment and the Dutch would feel they have the upper hand coming into this game.
The Netherlands won their last game 4-0 at home against Belarus to open their qualifying campaign.
Having missed out of qualifying for the last two major tournaments, not many were optimistic about their chances in the last Euro Nations League, but they dug deep and earned the top spot of their group ahead of France and Germany.
Their form seems to be improving under Ronald Koeman as he looks to return them to the top of World football.
With the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Frenkie de Jong and Georginio Wijnaldum, this Dutch team should top this group as Germany are currently in a transition phase.
Germany ended the international careers of Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng and Thomas Muller just before this qualifying campaign as Joachim Löw looks to rebuild a new team with younger players.
Their progress was tested when they faced Serbia in midweek, but they must have failed the test as the game ended in a 1-1 draw in front of their home fans.
This campaign should be seen by most of their fans as an opportunity to make up for their poor showing at the World Cup and the Euro Nations League, but it is hard to think that Germany has a team that can beat Holland at the moment.
This is one of the closest betting markets of the weekend as Holland are currently slight favourites to come out on top however Germany are within 1/3 of a point and will undoubtedly have supporters.
Goal markets point to a lively game of football as over 2.5 goals is trading odds-on.
