Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur

Competition – UEFA Champions League

Stadium – Etihad Stadium

Date: 17th April 2019

Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT

Manchester City are on the verge of losing one of the trophies Pep Guardiola has boasted that they wanted to win this season.

The Cityzens were matched on all sides by Tottenham in the first leg of this game as they were beaten 1-0 at the Tottenham Stadium.

That win was made even more painful because City missed a penalty in the first half.

Man City bounced back swiftly with a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend and their fans will be hoping that they can overturn this game here.

Tottenham have been enjoying their new stadium and they added Manchester City to the list of teams that they have beaten there last week.

They won against Crystal Palace there before that game and defeated Huddersfield 4-0 at the weekend.

Now they face an away day and the last time they were on the road, they were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool.

Manchester City meanwhile, have won all 11 of their last 11 home games in all competitions and their fans should be confident of another win here, but they  have to stop Spurs from scoring.

Bookmakers have priced Man City up as extremely strong odds-on favourites to come out on top and progress to the last 4 of the competition.

Goal markets are expecting a thriller as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Sergio Aguero is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.

Although the 90 minutes odds are one-sided, Tottenham remain close in the qualification markets as an away goal would mean City need to score 3 goals.

This game gets underway at 20:00 and promises to be an immersive tie.
