Manchester United vs Manchester City Preview

This is the game that most people believe Manchester City should drop points in and hand Liverpool the Premier League title by the end of the season.  However, on current form, the Red Devils are in line to lose their first home league game under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegians has seen his credentials questioned since he was named the permanent manager of Manchester United.

After a less than convincing 3-0 loss to Barcelona in the Champions League quarterfinals return leg, they were beaten 4-0 by Everton in their last league game which has put a spanner in their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Fans have started thinking that he may have been given the job too soon and just maybe the wheels have started to come off.  This game is a must win for the Red Devils but City also have to win.

Pep Guardiola’s side lost one of their trophies last week when they were eliminated from the Champions League by Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are hot on their heels in their bid to win the Premier League.

The Reds are currently top of the standings as they keep matching the results of City weekly and they have an easier run of games before the end of the season.

This is a must-win for both teams making it a special derby.

Bookmakers have priced Man City up as extremely strong odds-on favourites to go to Old Trafford and take all 3 points.

Goal markets point to a thrilling game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading heavily odds-on while Sergio Aguero is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
