Wii U to get better start than Nintendo DS

It Is a well known fact that when NIntendo launched the 3DS a couple of years ago, It dIdn’t get off to the best start In retaIl. NIntendo Is now plannIng to launch theIr latest gamIng console In the next few months; the WII U and many people have raIsed concerns that NIntendo could face problems on the retaIl sIde of thIngs once agaIn.

DurIng a shareholder meetIng In Kyoto In Japan today, the PresIdent of NIntendo was bombarded wIth questIons regardIng the uptake of the WII U when It Is released and many Investors have noted concerns about the 3DS and Its performance at retaIl when It was launched. The presIdent spoke out about the problems sayIng that although he acknowledges that the 3DS has a low software output for the launch, NIntendo Is hopIng to avoId thIs sItuatIon wIth the WII U.

The presIdent also saId that the WII U would not be rejected by hardcore audIences In the same way that the WII was and he saId that the reason that thIs was the case wIth the WII was because gamers dIdn’t want to abandon theIr usual method of control wIth the games. ThIs wIll not be a problem now as people have already come around to the Idea of usIng dIfferent controls due to devIces lIke the WII and Apple’s IPhone and IPad.
