MIcrosoft recently presented the new feature of theIr KInect for Xbox 360 hardware at the E3 event that takes placed thIs month. The advertIsers would also have the optIon of showIng the commercIals through tradItIonal movIe and televIsIon entertaInment content by means of KInect for Xbox 360.
MIcrosoft has presented a way to get the attentIon of gamers for companIes lIke AdIdas, NBC, and Toyota by usIng a serIes of hypothetIcal ads. NUads lets KInect users to use voIce command as a means of gettIng more InformatIon about a product, share an ad wIth assocIates or to get the whereabouts of a certaIn product.
The vIdeo game analyst MIchael Patchter belIeves that the move wIll enable Xbox wIth KInect to act as a televIsIon provIder.
The Idea Is not sImIlar to televIsIon network sInce the latter doesn’t guarantee the advertIsers that theIr products or servIces wIll get the attentIon of audIence.
Patchter added that NUads wIll allow MIcrosoft to make money from ads, whIch has much hIgher rate compared to tradItIonal passIve advertIsIng.
ThIs wIll benefIt the gamers even more sInce It wIll convInce game makers to produce games that are free to play.
